With its spacious kids’ area and huge selection of children’s books, Lakewood Library Friends recently rallied for new art and furniture to make the space more kid-friendly, creating the perfect place for little readers to get lost the world of fiction. Lakewood Library hosts storytime every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with music, stories and rhymes for children 6 years old and younger. There are also other kid-centric events throughout the year (such as Lakewood Live! that’s coming up this Saturday, in which puppeteer Sandy Shrout will entertain kids and adults alike with her story about Goldilocks and the three dinosaurs). Check out the events calendar for more.
